Why aren’t women switching to ‘cutting-edge, clean technology’?

According to YouTube audience figures, British males between 35 and 64 are most likely to switch to a cleaner car.

YouTube base their conclusion on figures related to videos for the UK’s biggest, green motor show in comparison with one Eco-Rally over the same, one year period.

Of course, this might simply mean that men who are ‘out and about’ watching cars in a rally carry camcorders with them, whereas those who go to a motor show don’t have the same interest or opportunity to shoot videos of moving metal.

As for women, perhaps they’re too busy minding the kids or the office on week days, when men sneak off to spend a day checking out the latest techno toys.

Naturally, ‘ever-ready’ powered Boris Johnson, Mayor of London has a ready quote: “The Revolve Eco-Rally is a great way to promote the use of less polluting, low carbon transport, which I am also championing in the capital.”

Launched by HRH Prince Charles in 2007, the Eco-Rally is a mobile motor-show demonstrating the world’s most advanced green vehicles in action.

This year, the one-day extravaganza will see major Formula One stars joining the green convoy, just days before the British Grand Prix.
